Thorn & Thimble is the world I wished existed, so I built it—a whimsical gothic shop filled with strange, beautiful things. I’ve always been drawn to things that are a little unusual—the beauty of a moth’s wings, old books and strange folklore, mushrooms growing in unexpected places, candlelight, crystals, botanical skulls, and all the wonderfully peculiar things that don’t fit neatly into one category. Thorn & Thimble grew from that love of the strange, beautiful, whimsical, and magical. Here, skulls sit beside flowers. Mice become witches. Poisonous botanicals become art. Tarot cards share shelves with curious games, gemstone jewelry, journals, candles, gothic décor, and whatever unusual treasure catches my eye next. There isn’t a rule that says all of these things are supposed to belong together. They belong together here. A Whimsical Gothic Shop for the Wonderfully Curious Some of the pieces you’ll find at Thorn & Thimble are playful. Some are dark. Some are beautiful, practical, mystical, cozy, or just delightfully weird. I design some of the artwork you’ll find throughout the shop and carefully source other pieces from makers and suppliers whose work feels at home in the Thorn & Thimble world. What matters to me is that each addition has something special about it—something that makes me stop, look twice, and want to share it. The shop is always evolving because I’m always discovering something new. A strange little game might appear beside a refillable botanical oil candle. A labradorite necklace might find its way next to a mouse witch. Tomorrow I may discover something I didn’t even know I was looking for. That’s part of the fun. Thorn & Thimble isn’t about following one aesthetic perfectly. It’s about finding beauty in unexpected places and surrounding yourself with things that make your world feel a little more like your own.
